Brazil possesses unique climatic, historical, and cultural issues that demand appropriate and unique solutions to current preservation of heritage problems.

The City of Olinda is a prime example of the Brazilian expressive artistic heritage, and in 2006, Olinda will celebrate its Title as the FIRST BRAZILIAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE, and its 24th. anniversary of its designation as a CITY PATRIMONY OF HUMANITY by UNESCO.
